Nanocomposites formed by carbon nanofibers and organic matrices are also other competitive systems object of study in our R&D Department.

- BIOTECHNOLOGY

Nanofiber 2- and  3-D Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering and Nerve regeneration are the two major areas of study in this field. These developments have been based on the large experience of our company on the engineering of 2 and 3-D fiber architectures such as 2- and 3-D weaving, 2- and 3-D braiding, stitching and knitting.

Biodegradable fibers are used in this field in order to meet structural and biomedical requirements

- HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGIES

Bipolar plates for PEM fuel cells as well as other Hydrogen Technologies components are being engineered by implementing advanced materials and systems. This field is related to the inclusion of nanomaterials, given their unique functional properties.

Special emphasis is being put in cost affordable manufacturing processes, so that the final components include high quality performance and low cost.
